Harry Potter Snitch Cupcakes

Make your own magical Harry Potter Snitch Cupcakes based on the snitch used in Quidditch. You can use these golden cupcakes for any Wizarding World party, and your friends and family will love them.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of buttermilk
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups of powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 1 tsp of lemon juice
  • Gold food coloring
  • Edible gold glitter
  • 24 Ferrero Rocher chocolates
  • White fondant
  • Edible gold luster dust

Instructions:

Warm up your oven to 350F 175C and put cupcake liners in a muffin tin

Mix the eggs, vegetable oil, buttermilk, vanilla extract, and yellow cake mix together in a large bowl

Mix until it's smooth

Put about two thirds of the batter into each cupcake liner

Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck into the middle of a cupcake comes out clean

On a wire rack, let the cupcakes cool all the way down

In a different bowl, use a mixer to make the softened butter smooth

Add the powdered sugar, milk, and lemon juice one tablespoon at a time and mix until the frosting is smooth

Until you get the shade of gold you want, keep adding gold food coloring to the frosting

Use a piping bag or a spatula to cover the cupcakes in a thick layer of the gold frosting once they are cool

To make the frosted cupcakes look magical, sprinkle edible gold glitter on top of them

Make a circle out of the white fondant and cut out wings for the snitch with a small round cutout

Use a little frosting as glue to attach the fondant wings to a Ferrero Rocher chocolate

For a real look, brush edible gold luster dust on the fondant wings

Place a decorated Ferrero Rocher snitch on top of each cupcake and lightly press it into the frosting to keep it in place

Now you can make your Harry Potter Snitch Cupcakes and give them to wizards and regular people to enjoy
