Brown Butter Cookies With Caramelised White Chocolate



These delectable cookies combine the rich and nutty flavors of brown butter with sweet caramelized white chocolate. The perfect combination of sweetness and flavor depth makes these cookies a crowd-pleaser for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 200g unsalted butter
  • 1 cup 200g brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup 90g white sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups 350g all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 200g white chocolate, chopped
  • Sea salt flakes, for garnish

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 180C 350F

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter

Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the butter turns golden brown and gives off a nutty aroma

Remove from heat and let it cool slightly

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar and white sugar

Pour the brown butter into the sugar mixture and whisk until well combined

Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition

Stir in the vanilla extract

Sift the flour, baking soda, and salt over the wet ingredients

Mix until just combined

Fold in the chopped white chocolate

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown

Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle sea salt flakes on top of each cookie

Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely
