Oven-Baked Chicken Fried Steaks



These oven-baked chicken fried steaks offer all the flavor and crispiness of the classic Southern dish without the hassle of frying. They're tender, juicy, and perfect for a satisfying family dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 4 beef cube steaks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Cooking spray

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400F 200C

In a shallow dish, mix flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika

In another dish, whisk together eggs and milk

In a third dish, combine breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese

Dredge each cube steak in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere

Place breaded steaks on a baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray

Spray the tops of the steaks lightly with cooking spray

Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through cooking

Serve hot and enjoy!
