Ingredients:
- 1 pound of high-quality supermarket bacon
- Baking sheet or oven-safe wire rack
- Aluminum foil optional
Instructions:
Set the oven temperature to 400F 200C
For easier cleanup, you can choose to line a baking sheet with aluminum foil
Arrange a wire rack that is safe for the oven on the baking sheet
This will facilitate uniform cooking of the bacon and let extra fat escape
Make sure the bacon strips do not overlap when you lay them flat on the wire rack
After preheating the oven, place the baking sheet inside and bake the bacon for 15 to 20 minutes, or until it is the desired crispness
Watch it closely to avoid overcooking
When finished, carefully take the bacon out of the oven
To absorb any leftover grease, place the crispy bacon strips on a plate covered with paper towels after transferring them with tongs
Before serving, let the bacon cool for a minute or two
